The kindergarten class is celebrating their 100th day of school! And so they are collecting 100 cans of food to donate to the local food bank. Please join their cause and help them reach their goal by bringing a can of food to the school office or by giving to a kindergarten student or Mrs. Heikes.

Riverside competed in the Boone County Spelling Bee today. Arial and Reagan advanced to the oral round with Reagan taking home 1st place! Congratulations to all of our spelling bee contestants!
The week of January 26, 2025 will serve as School Board Recognition Week in Nebraska. Thanks to the 1,700 locally elected volunteers who make up the Board of Education for Nebraska's Public Schools and ESUs. Through their leadership, innovation, vision and engagement, they make Nebraska a better place to live. We appreciate all you do!
It's time for the FFA Valentine's Day Fundraiser! Order forms are sent home with elementary students and available at school for middle and high schoolers. All orders are due to either office or Mrs .Berger by Friday, February 7th!
Riverside is hosting middle school basketball tournaments this Saturday! Boys play in Cedar Rapids and girls play in Spalding. Hope to see you there! 🏀

Congrats to David Lozano and Maddie Thober on receiving their American Degree at National FFA convention in October. The certificates and American Degree Key were mailed out and they received them over the holiday break. Congratulations David and Maddie for being amongst the 1% of FFA Members that earn the highest degree of the National FFA Organization! Well done!

The Heartland @ Riverside (@ Cedar Rapids) HSBB game postponed Saturday, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Start time: 4:00 PM. Girls JV followed by Boys JV. Girls varsity will start at 6:00 PM followed by boys varsity.
