Our sports and entertainment marketing class is currently learning the four P's of marketing: Product, Promote, Place & Price. They have a very cool project of constructing their own board game and be able to sell the idea to their peers. Keep up the great work! #BeACharger⚡⚡

Vans leave at 12:25 PM and should return 2:45ish. JH VB @ Clarks @ 1 PM (eat @ 11:00, change and leave by 11:30) FFA State Range Judging continues in Holt County FBLA Fall Leadership Conf. @ Omaha Thursday, September 26- Christmas in September VB @ Elgin @ 5:30 PM Friday, September 27- Spirit Day-Blue & Gold Day Spalding students report to the Spalding site and Cedar Rapids students to Cedar Rapids site. 8 AM- Cedar site bus leaves with CR 6-8 and HS students 8:20 AM- CR elementary travel to Spalding Site 8:30-10:00 AM- All Riverside 6-12 students work on floats with sponsors 9:00-10:00 AM- All Riverside PK-5 students work on floats/signs 10:00 AM- All Riverside PK-2 load Steve’s bus on the south side of the school to ride through the parade. 10:00 AM- Grades 3-12 walk or travel to the start of the parade on the south side of the school. Be ready to line up by 10 AM!!!! 10:15-11 AM- PARADE--Grades 3-12 will walk or ride their floats-whichever you prefer. PK-2 will ride the bus leading the parade until the City Auditorium where they will unload, receive a bag of candy, and sit on the street to watch the parade. After the parade they will walk to the gymnasium for the pep rally. 11-11:30 AM-Pep rally in gymnasium led by cheerleaders 11:30 AM- Lunch for the football team and student managers 11:30-11:55 AM - All CR and SP students (except football team) are at recess 11:55-12:20 PM -All CR site kids (except football players and student managers) eat and then transport back to Cedar 11:55-12:20 PM-All SP site students and any Spalding high school students go to classroom teachers to help clean up 12:20 PM- All SP site students and any Spalding resident High School students eat 12:25 PM- All CR site students travel back to Cedar 1:00 PM- Dismissal for both campuses 2:00 PM- Football game at Spalding 6:00 PM- Coronation at Spalding gym 6:30-9:30 PM- Homecoming Dance for all 9-12 Saturday, September 28- Riverside VB tournament #BeACharger⚡⚡

Riverside Public School receives FFVP Sponsor The USDA’s Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) provides funding to elementary schools to serve free fresh fruits and vegetables to children throughout the school day. The program is designed to help combat childhood obesity by teaching children the importance of developing healthy eating habits. The FFVP expands the variety of fruits and vegetable children experience and hopefully increases their fruit and vegetable consumption. Funds provided to each school cover the costs associated with administering the program including the cost of food and labor. Districts eligible must have fifty percent of its families qualify for free and reduced lunches.  Riverside Public School no longer meets this criterion. We are so thrilled to announce that Henderson State Bank will sponsor the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program at both Riverside campuses for the 2019-20 school year. Our Riverside students attended Husker Harvest Days today. Students explored various booths to learn about agricultural technology, equipment, and services. They also explored potential colleges and careers. Thank you BigIron for the T-shirts! #bigiron #BeACharger ⚡⚡
