What a day and what a turn out! Our K-5 students had the opportunity to have their loved ones accompany them to lunch! They went out to participate in recess and a quick room your afterwards. So awesome to see and thank you for making their days! #FamilyAlways #BeACharger⚡⚡

Riverside Public School receives FFVP Sponsor The USDA’s Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) provides funding to elementary schools to serve free fresh fruits and vegetables to children throughout the school day. The program is designed to help combat childhood obesity by teaching children the importance of developing healthy eating habits. The FFVP expands the variety of fruits and vegetable children experience and hopefully increases their fruit and vegetable consumption. Funds provided to each school cover the costs associated with administering the program including the cost of food and labor. Districts eligible must have fifty percent of its families qualify for free and reduced lunches.  Riverside Public School no longer meets this criterion. We are so thrilled to announce that Henderson State Bank will sponsor the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program at both Riverside campuses for the 2019-20 school year. Our Riverside students attended Husker Harvest Days today. Students explored various booths to learn about agricultural technology, equipment, and services. They also explored potential colleges and careers. Thank you BigIron for the T-shirts! #bigiron #BeACharger ⚡⚡

Check out the Scholastic Book Fair.  It's a great way to buy books for your children, grandchildren, their teachers, and the school library! The Scholastic Book Fair will be at the Cedar site on Monday, September 9 through Thursday, September 12.  The fair will be open in the library during parent/teacher conferences on Wednesday, September 11. The following week the Scholastic Book Fair will be at the Spalding site on Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19.  The fair will be open in the multi-purpose room during parent/teacher conferences on Wednesday, September 18.

Every morning, one of 5th graders leads the Pledge of Allegiance over the intercom for our entire school. Big time shout-out to Zoey Buechter for leading the way the first 3 weeks of school! She did a fantastic job & represented the #RPSway! Thank you & great job! #BeACharger⚡⚡

What an awesome run by our JH and Varsity Cross Country runners completed in Albion today! Ryan Berger was a medalist with a 12th place finish!
