Today, two of Ms. Peterson's FFA students, Molly Carraher and Neeley Greger, lead a demonstration about plant needs and soil to the Riverside fifth graders, as part of the Farm Bureau Connecting Chapters program. They also learned about different crop production practices and were able to plant the next bunch of seeds for the Tower Garden! #BeACharger⚡⚡

What a great start to the day! Our sophomores were all on time for our departure at 6:45am to head to Wayne, America. We have the opportunity to attend Wayne State College's Career Day today! #BeACharger⚡⚡

🚨Science lesson Alert🚨 One of the most important roles a meerkat plays is that of the sentry, or watch guard. One meerkat will stand on its hind legs, propped up by its tail, and act as a lookout while the rest of the mob is outside looking for food and frolicking in the sun. Our 4th and 5th graders had an awesome hands on learning experience creating their own safety and danger calls mimicking what meerkats do! Awesome job by everyone! They were too fast to be caught by the predator! #BeACharger⚡⚡

The Riverside FFA Officer team attended the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation’s Connecting Chapters Program today in Genoa. The training helped the officers develop Ag Literacy skills. Through this program they will be reading an Ag book, teaching a lesson about Nebraska Ag, and hosting an Ag Literacy day for our elementary students!
