Congratulations to the newest Riverside FFA American Dregree Recipients. Caitlin Langer, Kyle Noble and Macy Zentner will be receiving their American FFA Degree at the 92nd National FFA convention this fall. The American FFA Degree is the highest degree achievable in the National FFA Organization, the American FFA Degree shows an FFA member’s dedication to his or her chapter and state FFA association. It demonstrates the effort FFA members apply toward their supervised agricultural experience and the outstanding leadership abilities and community involvement they exhibited through their FFA career. American FFA Degree recipients show promise for the future and have gone above and beyond to achieve excellence.

Good afternoon! We are close to the beginning of the year and excited for the start of school. This year, we will have KSB law firm at our schools giving a presentation on internet safety. This presentation is mandatory for a grade 6-12 parent or guardian to be present at and to sign a permission slip for the release of a school laptop. The date is August 14th (Wednesday). Spalding will start at 10:15am and go to 11:15am. Cedar will begin at 12pm and go to 1pm. You may attend either site. If you can not make one of these times, please contact the school office. Some reminders as you prepare:
1.) Supply lists were sent home in the June Newsletter & can also be found on our website.
2.) Kindergarteners, 7th graders, and all JH & HS sports participants need to have current physicals for the 19-20 school year. Physical forms can be found on our website, the NSAA website, or picked up at school. Forms must be turned in before the first day of practice for Fall athletics!

If there are any students interested helping with the next blood drive, at the Parish Center in Cedar on the 19th, could you please email Kyle Jensen at kyle.jensen@redcross.org. With volunteering, you would be awarded a 50 dollar gift card and a chance at a 1,000 scholarship. You would be asked to recruit other students, faculty, and other community members to donate to support the need. We are shooting for recruiting of ten donors for each volunteer. Hello all football parents! I hope your summer is going well! Football season is just around the corner. We will have a team football camp from 9-11 am from July 22nd-26th. Then again from 5:30-7:30 pm the 29th-31st which would be the nights of the youth football camp. I apologize for the short notice. Please remind your boys of the schedule as well. Next year we will have a schedule in place much sooner. I am looking forward to this season and expect to get a lot of good work done during the camp. The hours will be from 7-9 with transportation from Spalding to Cedar and back. Leaving Spalding at 630am. Middle school students won’t start until next week.
June 3rd on will be Mon, Tues, Th, Fri. Middle school is welcomed Tue & Th!
How about a round of applause for our student-track-athletes and their coaches for a fantastic year! Through the weather, through the doubting and through the rollercoaster of a season, they were able to compete and every athlete was able to get better and make PRs. Congrats to our four state qualifiers and the medals that were brought home! Also thank you to Ms. Kaczor & Mr. Wragge for the constant updates from Burke! Looking forward to seeing what next year brings!
